- Tilting Arbor1. Sawing Systems uses a rugged gear box capable of tilting up to 90°. The tilt can be actuated with a hand crank or an electric actuator. (Force Control is not available with the tilting arbor option.)
- Rotating Arbor. A rotating arbor allows the blade to be turned to cut in any direction from 0 to 360°. This option requires the X-Y CNC option.
- Power Rotating Turntable1. Although not part of the saw itself, a power rotating table is a relatively simple way to add 4-axis capability to your saw without the complexity and cost of CNC.
- CNC Controls. Available on all axes or on just the X and Y axes for angle cuts. Consult a sales representative to find out which will best suit your application.
- Hi-Lo Gantry Truck Ends. One or both gantry rails can be mounted close to the floor. The reduced height enables an overhead crane to transport material over the low rail.
- Wireless Remote. Move the X, Y, or Z axes and start the saw motor while standing near the work piece. The wireless feature means no cable to get tangled or cut.
- Blade Size and Horsepower. The Bear Claw 72 is currently the only model available with the Bear Claw technology. This saw can be fitted with a blade size from 42” to 72” diameter. It can be fitted with up to a 75HP motor.
- Extended Gantry Travel1. The amount of optional gantry travel is virtually unlimited except for the practical limits of getting power to the saw rail over an extended distance.
- Long Belt Drive1. Long Belt Drive functions like a rack & pinion drive system. The composite belt does not rust or need lubrication and it is mounted with the teeth down to shed dirt and water. Long Belt Drive is recommended for lower maintenance on conventional saw applications (not recommended on CNC).
- Force Control1. This system includes two load cells that measure the vertical and horizontal forces on the nose of the spindle. The saw computer monitors these forces and uses them to control the cut feed rate and provide Crash Protection™. Saws with non-tilting spindles can be equipped with this system. See more detail on Force Control described elsewhere on Sawing Systems web site.
- Silver, Gold or Platinum Automation1. Bear Claw Saws can be equipped with various levels of computer automation. See the descriptions of these packages described elsewhere on Sawing Systems web site.
